LIGHT SUMMERS

COMPARISON
Light Summer sits between Light Spring and True Summer on the seasonal flow chart. Light summer colours are the lightest in summer family. They are also less cooler and brighter than other Summers.
Since they are neighboring the Light Spring according to flow theory, their colours are brighter and more saturated than the other Summer's. This also brings some warmness in their colouring. Therefore, this season is the brightest and the least muted of the Summer seasons.

Both Light Summer and Light Springs have light colouring and low contrast in their features. Light Summers have cool (blue, beige, gray) undertones whereas Light Springs have warm (golden and peachy) undertones.
Light summers have ashy blonde to light brown hair colours; Light Springs have golden tones. Light Summers features are grayed-out and muted, Light Springs have more bright and fresh appearance.

CLOTHING COMBINATIONS
Technically you can create colour combinations by mixing and matching colours in your colour palette. You can combine your accent colours with your basic colours or with your dark or light neutral colours.

LIGHT SUMMERs have light, soft and clear colours with mostly cool undertones in their palette. Too dark, bright or warm colours will clash with your natural delicacy.
Since you have low contrast in your features, we recommend you to choose monochromatic or analogous combinations, which means, combining the different shades of the same colour (such as light blue and medium blue) or combining neighboring colours (such as blue and lavender) .
You can also pair neutral colours with ascent colours to create little contrast and look more colourful.
Avoid high contrast and bold combinations (complementary, triadic or tetradic) , it overwhelms your natural soft and youthful look. Basic colours such as blues and cool green tones will suit you the better than the accent colours.
Black is not in your palette, cause its too dark for you. Try gray tones instead of black. You have an option to choice off white instead of true white which would be too bright for your appearance. Try not to use all-neutrals in the same combination, you need at least one ascent colour in your outfit.
PATTERNS&PRINTS
Since your natural look has low contrast, your patterns should reflect the same. Best to choose the same colours in your palette for your patterns and prints. Prefer small to medium scale, loosely arranged and dense patterns and prints.
Best pattern examples for Light Summers are water colour designs, floral patters, small background arrangements. Patterns that contain big scale, geometric, low dense and aligned should be avoided.
