Flat front or pleated bottoms with a low waistline and midi hemline,
Long maxi style skirts,
Waist-cinching belts to break the length, peplum dresses, shirt dresses, body con dresses; jumpsuits,
Use different colours for top and bottom and pair narrow bottom with wide top or vice versa.

If you are short (<5’4”)

Tops:
Short length tops with high necklines create a taller appearance;
T-shirts, slim style layers with short and narrow sleeves, crop tops, knot fronts,
Single-breasted fitted layers or short bomber jackets, blouson jackets, leather jackets,
None or small collar, lapel or pockets.
Avoid tunics, multilayers, and oversized accessories.

Bottoms/Dresses:
The higher the hemline, the taller the person appears.
Short length or mini; flat front, narrow style, structured skirts/shorts (high waistline, slim or none waistband)
Dresses with no pleats or statement belts; wrap dresses; sundresses, shift dresses
Flare or structured pants with vertical lines and solid colour; straight or skinny denim, high waist bottoms
Pair a high-waist bottom with a tucked-in top; ankle boots, low-cut wamps or pointed toe nude shoes.

We recommend the monochrome style because sticking with one colour creates a vertical line and gives flow to your entire body.
Avoid loose-fitting jeans; boxy and square shape outfits; chunky shoes, knee-high boots or ankle straps.

If your torso is short

Tops:
Fitted tops, button-downs,
High necklines; turtlenecks, mandarin necks,
Single-breasted long jackets with 3-4 buttons, leather jackets, empire cuts.
