LIGHT SUMMERS

COMPARISON
Light Summer sits between Light Spring and True Summer on the seasonal flow chart. Light summer colours are the lightest in the summer family. They are also less cool and brighter than other Summers.
Since they are neighbouring the Light Spring according to flow theory, their colours are brighter and more saturated than the other Summers. This also brings some warmth to their colouring. Therefore, this season is the brightest and the least muted of the Summer seasons.

Both Light Summer and Light Springs have light colouring and low contrast in their features. Light Summers have cool (blue, beige, gray) undertones, whereas Light Springs have warm (golden and peachy) undertones.
Light summers have ashy blonde to light brown hair; Light Springs have golden tones. Light Summer’s features are grayed out and muted; Light Springs have a more bright and fresh appearance.

CLOTHING COMBINATIONS
Technically you can create colour combinations by mixing and matching colours in your colour palette. You can combine your accent colours with your basic colours or dark or light neutral colours.

You have light, soft and somewhat clear colours with mostly cool undertones in your palette. Too dark, bright, or warm colours clash with your natural delicacy.
Since you have low contrast in your features, we recommend you choose monochromatic or analogous combinations, which means combining the different shades of the same colour (such as light blue and medium blue) or combining neighbouring colours (such as blue and lavender).
You can also pair neutral colours with accent colours to create little contrast and look more colourful.
Avoid high contrast and bold combinations (complementary, triadic or tetradic); it overwhelms your natural soft and youthful look. Basic colours such as blues and cool green tones suit you better than accent colours.
Black is not in your palette cause it’s too dark for you. Try gray tones instead of black. You can choose off-white instead of true white, which would be too bright for your appearance. Try not to use all neutrals in the same combination; you need at least one accent colour in your outfit.
PATTERNS&PRINTS
Since your natural look has low contrast, your patterns should reflect the same. Choose the same colours in your palette for your patterns and prints. Prefer small to medium scale, loosely arranged and dense patterns and prints.
The best pattern examples for Light Summers are watercolour designs, floral patterns, and small background arrangements. Patterns that contain big scale, geometric, low dense and aligned should be avoided.

MAKE-UP COLOURS
Foundation&Concealer
You have neutral-cool, fair, soft skin with beige and pink undertones. You should choose a similar foundation colour to your skin tone, preferably those with pink-based beige tones, liquid, thin and matte finishes.

Blush
There are many different cool pink shades in your palette that you can choose. Matte finishes will naturally blend with your skin tone, and it’s better not to over-apply your blushes.

Lipstick

Your lipstick colours are pink or lilac tones. Avoid bright and warm colours; choose matte finishes.
Eye shadows

Your light, cool and soft colour complexion must be repeated with your makeup colours. Therefore, matte or sheer, pastel, and cool shades would be better for you. Avoid bright and dark colours as well as warm shades.
Eyeliner&Mascara

It’s better to choose eyeliners according to your eye colours. Make sure that they are not dark and match your light complexion. Grays and blues are good choices for mascara.

Every Season has its own iconic notes and scents
Summer women should choose light, refreshing citrus or marine notes, such as orange blossom, lavender, green tea, rose, honeysuckle, island flowers, and sea salt.
